Pilgrims Travel 10,000 Miles to See ACMA's Children of Eden

Picture
Matt Groening-style overbite does not prevent this spiritual seeker from making the journey of a lifetime. At the end of her 10,000 mile trek, after showering and having a turkey burger, she hopes to wash the feet of Mr. Benson.
BEAVERTON, OR - Religious pilgrims from all corners of the globe have begun the trek to Beaverton to witness The Benson Ascension, where Ryan Benson, the sad and damp child who sang for the first time ever last summer, and went on to play the role of Fagin in Oliver! last spring, continues that trajectory and rocks the role of God.  Mr. Benson performs in this show with your other favorite singers and actors, including Katie McLoughlin (Nancy in Oliver!), Chloe Duckart, Josiah Boucher, Geneva Hall, Francis Kohler, Lauren Hines and Ken Jackson, among others.  The show is at once moving, lively, sad, violent, romantic, and funny, and the music is totally super awesome. Directed by Brian and Alana Bertram, with Music Direction by Jody DeHaven, and a live pit orchestra featuring The Other Miracle Ryan, we promise you will not be disappointed.

If this dusty old woman will travel this distance for art, in too-warm clothing and brittle flip-flops, you ought to be able to get off the couch at least one night this week, amiright?
Because Art Saves, but only if we let it.  By, like, showing up.
